Journey by car from Düsseldorf or Cologne:
Coming from Cologne (A 4) or from Düsseldorf (A 44), drive at the motorway junction Aachener Kreuz in the direction of “Antwerp/Maastricht (A 4)”. Then take the second exit (Aachen-Laurensberg) and turn off right at the traffic light in the direction of “Aachen Centre” into the Kohlscheider Straße.
After 500 m then take the next exit right in the direction of the “Klinikum”. Now you are on the “Outer Ring” Toledoring and Pariser Ring), which you follow to the Vaalser Straße (B 1). There you turn off left at the traffic light in the direction of “Aachen Centre”. From the Vaalser Straße you turn off right at the 3rd traffic light onto the Amsterdamer Ring “in the direction of Belgium”.
At the 2nd traffic light after approx. 1 kilometre you turn right into the Lütticher Straße (B 264). On the Lütticher Straße you pass the estate Preuswald until you are close to the Belgian border. Here approx. 200 meters after the petrol station the Hergenrather Weg branches off in direction “Hergenrath [B] and Kapelle". After 300 meters the path to the test field (house number 30) branches off behind a small grove.
Journey by car from Brussels (Bruxelles) or Liège:
Coming from Brussels (A 3) leave the A 3 (E 40) at the exit no. 37 to (Thimister-Clermont). In the roundabout take the exit in the direction Thimister-Clermont onto the Chaussée Charlemagne (N 3). Drive the N3 in the direction of Kelmis and Aachen. After approx. 14 km you reach the border Belgium/Germany. At the first possibility (after 700 m) turn off right into the Hergenrather Weg in direction “Hergenrath [B] and Kapelle". After 300 meters the path to the test field (house number 30) branches off behind a small grove.
Journey with public means of transport from main railway station Aachen or from railway station Aachen Schanz:
Take the trains RB20, RB33 or RE4 or the bus route 3B or 13B to the railway station Aachen Schanz. Leave the railway station in the direction Schanz. If you arrive by bus, you are already on the “Schanz”. Here take bus route 24 in the direction of Kelmis and get out at “Bildchen Zollamt”. At the bus stop “Bildchen Zollamt” cross the Lütticher Straße and go into the Hergenrather Weg. After 300 meters the path to the test field (house number 30) branches off behind a small grove.
